In recent years I've noticed that those who are willing to be vulnerable, reap great rewards both personally and professionally. They take risks and fully commit to whatever it is they want to do. They are also less afraid of failure, accepting it as just another step toward their goals.
A little more than a year ago, I was looking for a way to explain why I recommended certain people to follow on Twitter. I thought that the hashtag #EIR, for "Engages, Informs & Retweets," effectively simplified what I look for in people I follow. Very quickly I realized that it was a great strategy to follow for successful marketing on Twitter. Somewhat surprisingly to me, the hashtag and the idea behind it was embraced by many people.
I've been a fan of The Meetings Podcast ever since I discovered it more than a year ago through Twitter. The podcast is a weekly interview that Mike McAllen of Grass Shack Events & Media does with interesting folks in the events industry.
