Bruce began his career in the music business with Toby Roberts Tours doing travel coordination and began his production career working with Boston area bands, J. Geils, Aerosmith, Jon Butcher Axis and countless others. Starting Rainbow Lighting Company in Boston in the mid eighties Bruce was asked to production manage a tour for Oldsmobile to reintroduce the Cutlass Supreme beginning a career change from rock and roll to the corporate meeting world. Bruce assisted in introducing major corporations in Boston to expanded production in their meetings just as the technology was exploding. As companies began using more audio, lighting, and video production in their meetings Rainbow Lighting under Bruce’s leadership expanded into Rainbow Production Services and was now a full service corporate production company. Continuing to use his creative vision honed from his touring years Bruce brought excitement and energy to his events and continued to expand the production boundaries of his corporate events.
In 2004 Bruce moved out west and took a position as Director of Audio Visual Services at Ballys Casino & Paris Las Vegas Casino and Resorts. This new challenge exposed Bruce to new ideas and a new clientele and Bruce was instrumental in expanding the A/V business at Ballys and Paris, however he missed the direct contact with the customer that only a production house can provide. When contacted by ICON Presentations in early 2008 the perfect fit between the west coast production facility and the transplanted New Englander was accomplished, ICON Presentations is happy to introduce Bruce Amdur as our newest team member.
